The 10 items challenge

2016 has started with a bang but after all the parties I’ve realized that my big challenge started: I’m only going to buy 10 pieces of clothing this year. I would exaggerate if I’d tell that I’m already struggling but I have to say that I’m deliberately avoiding the shopping areas. Normally this is my favorite time of the year (well after Christmas ofcourse): sales time! This is also the reason why I started my challenge in January 2016, to make it extra hard for myself. Now, a lot of people don’t believe that I’m going to succeed and sometimes it’s hard to believe it myself that I will. But I have to do this, just to prove to myself that I can. And to make the challenge extra clear to everyone, I made rules. Here are two lists of what I can and cannot buy. Let’s do this!

I can buy:
Sportswear (but only to wear in the gym, not sportswear that you can wear on the street)
Scarves, hats and gloves

I cannot buy (except for the 10 pieces):
Clothing: dresses, skirts, t-shirts, tops, sweaters, pants, jeans, blouses, jackets, coats, bikini’s…
Bags: big bags, small bags, clutches…
Shoes: sandals, flip-flops, heels, ankle boots, high boots, sneakers…

Note to friends: I can also NOT accept any gifts that involve the items above 😉 Wish me luck!
